Man City agree £25m Gundogan deal for Guardiola

Manchester City have agreed a £25 million deal with Borussia Dortmund for Ilkay Gundogan as Pep Guardiola sets a June 10 deadline for the club to complete their summer signings, reports The Mirror.

The incoming manager has been handed a blank cheque to revamp the squad at the Etihad Stadium ahead of his arrival in the summer, with the Catalan informing director Txiki Begiristain he aims to wrap up his transfer business by the time Euro 2016 kicks off.

Gundogan, whose contract at BVB is up in 2017, is expected to lead a spate of signings, while talks with Juventus for star Paul Pogba are believed to have reopened despite the Frenchman's prohibitive £75m asking price.

Isco – who current City coach Manuel Pellegrini attempted to sign from Malaga before Real Madrid swooped – and Aymeric Laporte remain coveted in Manchester.
